Big Update Coming: See the Release Date

Hello SimFlyers!

We have many important updates to share with you this week on SimFly.

The mandatory flight plan requirement for the Airplane Rental mission will be officially released on Tuesday, July 15 at 08:00 Zulu. We recommend avoiding rental missions between 08:00 and 09:00 Zulu to ensure the system updates correctly.

This new operational rule will require a valid flight plan for every rental mission. In this week’s video, Roberto introduces the new requirement and walks us through all the changes, including the application criteria, how the maximum range is calculated, how to use the alternate airport field, and the consequences of submitting a flight plan that doesn’t match the actual flight performed.

You’ll also get a preview of the new tail number change system, which is already active and available to all users.

In terms of fleet updates, we’re excited to announce the arrival of a new aircraft: the modern Embraer 190, ideal for regional and medium-haul routes. It’s available now with a limited-time 50% discount.

Great news for Premium Prime users: we’re getting ready to release the new Slot Free – Instant Relocation feature. Every month, Prime members will receive a set number of free relocations that won’t consume PAX Tokens. These can be used for both Pilot License and Aircraft License relocations. More details coming soon.

We also want to let our Mac users know that the macOS client has been updated to version 0.0.7. We invite you to test it, compare landing rate values with other ACARS tools, and report any bugs or inconsistencies.

Finally, don’t forget: all Category 6 aircraft are currently 40% off, with the promotion running until Monday, July 14 at 13:00 Zulu.

Don’t miss Roberto’s weekly video: along with detailed explanations of all the updates, he’ll be answering the most upvoted questions from the AMA section. If you have suggestions or want clarification, this is the perfect time to speak up.

Safe flights from the entire SimFly team.
