Features live, fixes coming, and a new airplane
Hello SimFly pilots,
This week, we rolled out two important new features that are now fully live on the platform. Here’s everything you need to know.
The first update concerns Airplane Rental Missions:
The Flight Plan is now mandatory, and requires you to select a Departure and Arrival airport, with an optional Alternate.
This change was introduced to improve the consistency and quality of the flight experience.
In this week’s video, Roberto walks you through the process: how to set it up, what to do if you encounter errors, and why this change was necessary.
The second major update is the introduction of Free Instant Relocation for Premium users.
Until now, only regular Instant Relocation was available — but starting this week, Premium members can now relocate their aircraft and licenses for free, up to a monthly limit.
Roberto explains exactly how the system works, with practical examples and useful tips.
Meanwhile, we’re also optimizing the fuel range validation rule, which will soon be applied more precisely across all missions. A preview of this improvement is also shown in the video.
For Mac users:
Just a reminder that version 0.0.7 of the SimFly Client is already available in beta.
It works well overall, but we’ve identified an inconsistency in the landing rate calculation, which is currently being addressed.
Thanks to your previous reports, we’ll be deploying a patch in the coming days to investigate the issue further and fix a bug that can occasionally trigger the “Simulator Data Not Found” message at the end of a flight.
We’ll notify you as soon as the patch is released. In the meantime, please keep sending us your feedback — it’s essential to finalizing the fix.
And finally, a treat for long-haul enthusiasts:
The Boeing 747-8 has just landed in the marketplace, now available at a 50% discount for a limited time. A true giant of the skies, ideal for intercontinental routes.
All of these updates — and more — are covered in Roberto’s latest weekly video. Make sure to watch it through to the end: along with tips and walkthroughs, he also answers the most upvoted community questions in the AMA section.
Safe flights from the entire SimFly team.
