Test Pilot Mission Changes and Airdrop!
Dear Pilots,
As we continue to welcome new members into the SimFly community, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible journey of our SimFly users. Your support and commitment have been the backbone of our project, allowing us to grow and evolve into the immersive experience we all enjoy today.
To show our appreciation, as promised, we will be airdropping PAX tokens to all users who made at least a purchase during our pre-sale (May 2023 – March 2024). The pre-sale had 8 phases, and we will reward earlier purchases with more tokens per dollar spent to acknowledge the trust and belief showed by joining early. More details on this airdrop will be shared next week in our news video and newsletter.
Switching gears, this week we’ve launched an exciting introductory update to the Test Pilot mission, designed to give our newest arrivals a glimpse into the world of SimFly. Pilots participating in the Test Pilot mission will earn PAX tokens while flying without a license, benefiting from this unique opportunity to start their journey. Relax: while this serves as a warm welcome, it’s just a small taste of what you, our seasoned pilots, already know — the true depth and breadth of the SimFly universe that comes with a license.
For our loyal licensed pilots, we want to remind you that the license unlocks far more than just missions. You’re gaining access to exclusive features, community-driven events, and advanced training modules that take your experience to the next level. All things we will announce in the next weeks and months. With every flight you take, you’re shaping the future of SimFly, contributing to the growth of this incredible world we’ve built together.
So while our new pilots are just beginning to explore, we know you’ll continue to soar higher, enjoying the many benefits and adventures that come with your license.
In this week video, Roberto will guide us through another exclusive preview. After showing you the Airplane page last week, this time he’ll reveal the new Airport page. We invite you to watch it to discover all the details about its structure and the new features that will be introduced.
We know that many of you have encountered issues with message visibility, particularly from the Sky Sentinel during flights. We also have had reports of other issues with the client version 1.1.5, that’s why, with the next client update to version 1.1.6, we’re making changes to remove the bugs and improve your experience. Furthermore, as requested you’ll now be able to select the Microsoft Flight Simulator Community folder during installation, making it easier to locate the path. Also, do you use a VR headset? You’ll be able to enable a dedicated message display, while non-VR users will continue to see the usual pop-ups.
Another reminder: you can already use your PAX for asset checkouts, either partially or fully. This option is active and allows you to make the most of your accumulated tokens.
Finally, don’t miss the new AMA video. Roberto will answer the top four questions voted by the community. If you haven’t participated yet, now’s the time! Your questions are essential for continuously improving the SimFly experience.
Safe flying, and see you soon!
