Airplane Activations are Approaching!

Hello SimFly community!

This week brings exciting updates for everyone in the SimFly world, starting with a major milestone: you’ll soon be able to activate your airplane! Like license activation, airplane activation lets you choose a unique tail number, see the aircraft’s details, and even set its starting location at a chosen airport. Once activated, your plane begins a “life” in SimFly, accumulating experience points, generating PAX tokens, and creating a rich history with every flight. Remember, once you’ve picked your tail number, it’s yours alone—no duplicates allowed!

In addition, we’re giving a sneak peek at airport activations. While it’s a future feature, the airport page is already live, displaying essential stats for each location, including takeoffs, landings, and even operational history. If you own an airport, you’ll soon be able to activate it, unlocking a new dimension of management and tracking within the SimFly ecosystem. From elevation data to flight histories, you’ll have insights into every aspect of your airport, including its experience points and lifetime earnings.

On a side note, we’re aware of an issue with X-Plane 12 crashing with the current SimFly client. Our team is hard at work on a new client version (1.1.6) specifically designed to address this compatibility issue. We’re thoroughly testing it with X-Plane 12 to ensure a smooth experience for all users. Thanks for your patience as we work to make SimFly better and more reliable every day!

Lastly, a quick note for those considering aircraft purchases: with activation around the corner, now’s the time to buy, as prices will rise once activations are enabled. Don’t miss out on this chance to lock in your aircraft before the update! And for those curious, the AMA section in this week’s video answers four key questions you won’t want to miss.

Happy flying, and see you in the skies!
